A series seemed to be born out of exploration. “Fortress of His Feathers”, is the second painting inspired by my personal experiences and Ps. 91 explores the quiet strength and protection I have experienced in His love. The woman’s upward gaze and soft, wing-like garment speak to a calm that comes from trusting Christ beneath life’s storms. Behind her, a glowing circle frames her stillness, standing in contrast to the wild ocean and dark cliffs that surround her. This tension between vulnerability and resilience reflects a promise that faith can hold me steady when the world feels uncertain. Creating this work was a way to remind myself—and perhaps others—that even in the fiercest storms, there is a refuge within reach, a peace that does not depend on circumstance but on Christ’s presence that never fades.
