I invite you to journey into a realm where color and emotion intertwine. The ebb and flow of life with all its beauty and resilience. Through this piece, I echo the sentiment of Psalm 118:24, “This is the day the Lord has made; I shall rejoice.” Reminding us that each morning brings fresh mercies and the opportunity to bloom once more, regardless of the murky waters we may traverse. My hope is that this composition inspires a sense of serenity and introspection, encouraging you to embrace your own journey of renewal and resilience. Inspired by the lotus flowers I see opening with the new day and then closing back into the murky waters at evening, I feel a kiss of possibilities for a fresh start. In my artwork, I’ve depicted a vibrant and colorful scene featuring a woman with long, flowing hair, tinted in shades of brown and violet. Her expression is pensive and serene, and I’ve captured her gaze as it lingers on the flower she holds delicately in her hands. The flower blooms in soft hues of purple and white.
Surrounding her is a dynamic background filled with shades of blue, purple, and green, which evokes a dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere. I’ve incorporated abstract, ethereal elements with sweeping strokes and patterns that enhance the dreamlike quality of the piece. The play of light and shadow within my painting creates a compelling contrast, adding depth and intensity to the overall artwork.
