I love nature and the lessons I gleam from it. I have lots of finches here in my oak trees forever they flit around free and singing. They represent movement and ascent.  Sometimes I feel like they are singing or swooping by me to remind me to look up, hear the joy and remember my true north Jesus. As I read Matthew 10:29-31 I sensed God asking me bring these beauties to life.

I found this red sunflower and had it place away for a future painting. I liked it because it was a unique color instead of the usual yellow. Red sunflower symbolize strength, optimism and it is full of seeds providing a ton of symbolism and meaning.  A seed embodies potential and the finch not only ingests it's potential but distributes it. Seeds can also represent the kernels of knowledge and wisdom. What seeds I value and the soil of my hearts will determine what kind of harvest my life produces. What kind of seeds do you value and harvest are you looking for?
